3 Kyoto Eateries to Dine in this Autumn
3 Kyoto Eateries to Dine in this Autumn
November 1, 2022

Your Kyoto trip would not be complete without a well-thought out food trip. Here in our neighbourhood, you’ll find plenty of culinary gems that have kept local patrons coming back for more. As Autumn begins to cool the air, we’ve put together a list of our favorite restaurants in our area to keep you warm.

Korean BBQ Galore at Yakiniku Dining Kinoe

Yakiniku Dining Kinoe, one of the city’s most renowned Korean BBQ restaurants, is located just a short walk from Miru Kyoto Nishiki. Aside from their delicious meats like Matzuzaka and Omi, they are renowned for their wide range of wine (over 100 bottles). The perfect complement to hearty, grilled meats!

Elegant Dining in Chisou Inaseya

Just a hop and skip away from our hotel are some of Kyoto’s best eateries. Among them is Chisou Inaseya – one of the recommended dinner spots for our guests. This spot serves up the best chicken sukiyaki, using Tamba Chicken. Chisou Inaseya also offers up a wide range of sake as the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

Specialty Kyoto Sushi at Hisagozusi Kyoto

Though Sushi is native to Japan, Kyoto has its own local version called Kyo-zushi. Kyo-zushi looks similar to regular sushi, but it packs much more of a punch flavor-wise, as the rice is sweeter and the fish is pickled, boiled and grilled. To try this dish, we recommend @hisagozusi_kyoto – the pioneers of Kyo-zushi. This restaurant has a three-generation legacy, and features an open kitchen where patrons can watch chefs and their craft. Not sure what to order? Get their Sushi of the Week trays for a great variety.
